About this day nursery

The Old Bank Day Nursery, located in Leeds, offers a stimulating and welcoming environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The day nursery incorporates elements of the 'Curiosity Approach' and 'Hygge' into its daily practices, encouraging children to explore natural objects, engage in loose parts play, construction, sand play, and nature-based outdoor activities.

The setting is designed with natural tones, ample light, and comforting elements to create a 'home from home' atmosphere. The nursery operates an all-inclusive policy, providing nappies and wipes to ease the burden on busy parents and support families with the rising cost of living.

Care is divided into age-specific rooms: 'Blossom Babies' for infants aged 3 to 24 months, focusing on individual growth and exploration; 'Willow Toddlers' for children aged 24 to 36 months, fostering independence and self-sufficiency through varied play areas; and 'Oaks Preschool' for 3 to 5-year-olds, where outdoor learning is prioritised to promote risk assessment, challenge ideas, and realise potential. The preschool has a dedicated downstairs area for indoor activities, complementing their extensive outdoor time.
