About this day nursery

30pm. Established in 2004, the nursery provides a warm and supportive environment for children aged 0 to 4 years.

The manager, who greeted children and parents warmly as they arrive, fosters positive relationships with families. Independence is a key focus, with children learning self-care skills and making choices in their play.

Staff encourage respect and kindness, creating a secure space where children develop a love for learning. The nursery effectively uses early years pupil premium funding to support communication and language development through cosy communication spaces.

Mathematical understanding is built progressively as children move through the nursery, from early concepts like "big" and "small" to counting objects and drawing shapes. Learning is sequenced well to build on existing knowledge, challenging children appropriately for their age.

Pre-school children also develop fine motor skills in the outdoor area by making marks with chalks. Brookvale Nursery received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 06/12/2022.
