Broomfield Road Day Nursery School, established in 2014, operates from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, all year round, closing only for bank holidays and one week at Christmas. This Chelmsford-based nursery, rated as Outstanding by Ofsted, welcomes children from 0 to 4 years.

The nursery offers a bespoke curriculum, with staff holding an exceptional understanding of each child's learning style and next steps. Children thrive and demonstrate excellent behaviour, benefiting from well-thought-out activities designed to spark their interests and encourage deep-level learning.

The setting places a strong emphasis on independence, with even the youngest children learning to feed themselves and older children serving meals and pouring drinks. In the pre-school room, children are exceptionally well prepared for school, focusing on independence and problem-solving skills through innovative opportunities.

Staff are highly skilled in supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), providing specific training, adapting resources and planning, and collaborating with parents and other agencies. Outdoor learning is encouraged, with children in the construction area using clipboards to plan their designs.

Parental partnerships are strong, offering numerous opportunities for parents to support learning at home, including a library of resources covering various developmental needs. Parents consistently describe the staff as "amazing" and "wonderful," noting children's eagerness to attend and their happiness during the settling-in period.
