Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders have developed a curriculum that is inclusive and highly ambitious for all, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff use a meticulous assessment process through individual 'learning stories' and quickly implement individualised plans to support children when delays are identified, including seeking external support. Staff's support for children with SEND is impressive; the experienced inclusion team works directly with children across the setting, using resources like communication tools and bubbles for targeted intervention work. Children's individual needs are well met, and they make excellent progress from their starting points in learning.

Outdoor space

Children play together cooperatively in the garden, for example, working together to pull each other around on carts attached to tricycles. Staff provide many opportunities for children to develop a love of nature, including exploring petals, growing strawberries, and examining insects like woodlice and centipedes with magnifying glasses, allowing children to learn about the natural world.
