How they support every child
SEND provision
There is an effective key-person system in place to ensure children's individual needs are well met.
Outdoor space
Children understand the importance of keeping warm. For example, before they go outside to the well-resourced garden, they put on their hats and coats or their hoods and explain that these will help them to stay warm. Children are encouraged to be kind and to support one another. For example, they help each other to find their coats when they go outside to play. They wait patiently for their turn on outdoor tricycles and other equipment.
EAL / language support
Staff communicate skilfully with children, and they provide good support to children learning to speak English as an additional language. Staff learn key words in the child's home language to help children settle. Picture cards are also used to help build vocabulary and understanding.

Our 4 year old twins have attended Budding Learners Montessori on Slough Lane since 2019. They will be graduating this year as they start ‘big school’ in September! Time has flown, it has been a truly difficult time through the pandemic, but words really cannot express how impressed we have been with the love and support everyone at Budding Learners has provided to our children, and us as parents. Due to a bad experience with another nursery, we were determined to find somewhere that would truly bring out the best in our children in a safe and nurturing environment. Having viewed all outstanding nursery settings in the area, we chose Budding Learners – it was the best decision we could have made. Budding Learners have exceeded our expectations, and our children have come out as grown little men, prepared and ready for a new adventure. The environment, the experienced teachers, the love and care given to every child was evident from the outset and has only strengthened throughout our time here. We would highly recommend Budding Learners Montessori to any parent looking for a nursery setting. Our children have loved the experience and we are truly grateful to ALL of the teachers for educating, caring for and showing unconditional love to our children. We will genuinely miss their teachers, friends and other parents as we close this chapter, but look forward to exciting times ahead.

This is a lovely little nursery, both of my children have attended and had a magical time. The teachers are warm, caring and attentive and are genuinely interested in the children's development, in all dimensions. The children and we love them! As well as structured learning, they consider the whole character and how to impart the right values for a happy life. The children come home each day with such rich experiences of their time there. There is a good mixture of child led and adult led activity. The preparation for school is excellent and there is a strong partnership with parents. All food is cooked onsite and is yummy; both children eat full meals there, even if not always at home! It really feels a home from home, we have been very happy here and would highly recommend.

My daughter loved it at Budding. Always came home with something new she learnt and that gave her a big step ahead in time to start Reception at school. All the staff are so helpful and caring. Would definitely recommend this nursery.
