C. is an OFSTED outstanding preschool located in the South Shropshire village of Burford, operating from a demountable building within the grounds of Burford C of E School.
Established in 1999, it transitioned to a Community Interest Company in 2012. The preschool maintains close ties with Burford C of E School, with many children moving on to attend the primary school.
They cater to children aged 2 to 4 years, offering both funded places for 3 and 4-year-olds, and a limited number of unfunded spaces for 2-year-olds. The preschool is open five days a week during term time and also runs a Holiday Club for three days a week during some school holidays.
Recognising the diverse needs of children, Burford Preschool supports those with special educational needs, disabilities, and English as an additional language. The curriculum is child-led, focusing on fostering curiosity, confidence, and independence through purposeful play in a secure indoor and outdoor free-flow environment.

Our ethos
The Child are our Curriculum - what they learn and how they learn is unique to them. We do not plan set topics or themes that adults expect the children to follow. We encourage our children to be curious, inspired, and build confidence to explore and learn in a secure and safe, indoor and outdoor free-flow environment using loose parts and a variety of real items.
