What it's like to attend
Children are very settled in this warm and welcoming nursery. They are highly engaged with staff, who help them feel safe and secure. All children, including those with SEND, show a positive attitude to learning and become confident communicators.
Inspector highlights
- The newly appointed manager is passionate about her role and has worked hard with staff to address the actions raised at the previous inspection. As a result, the quality of care provided for children is good and staff morale is positive.
- The manager has provided training and coaching to ensure hygiene across the nursery is good, such as adding self-care stations for children and improving mealtime routines.
- The staff in each room create a curriculum for the children in their age range. For example, babies are supported with their physical development as they learn to walk, and older children count beyond 20 and learn different letter sounds.
- Children develop strong friendships with their peers, are kind and respectful to each other, and staff use strategies such as picture cards and gestures to help them learn about emotions.
- Parents are extremely complimentary about the quality of care and education offered by staff, appreciating daily feedback and reporting that their children are well prepared for school.

SEND provision
All children demonstrate a positive attitude to learning, including children with special educational needs/and or disabilities (SEND). Staff identify children with SEND and use advice and support from other professionals to plan specific support for children, which helps staff deepen their knowledge to support children's individual needs. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.
Outdoor space
Children experience a range of activities that support their physical development. For example, they try balance beams and ball games outside. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.

My son attended between 2019 and 2022 and we had a great experience during the years our son was at Busy Bees in Reigate. The team handled the challenges of covid incredibly especially given how difficult the time was for everyone. From the babies room up to preschool my son was set up to have the best start when he started school. My son absolutely thrived and I have walked away with friends for life. Thank you to the team at Busy Bees and a special shout out to Amy J for always being so supportive.

We never thought that a nursery with this brand could have such a bad staff to treat children with violence, even with a three-years old child. I filed a complaint against your daycare and my daughter got into trouble because of the physical contact your staff had with her. ❌ I suggest to everyone don’t bring your children to BUSYBEES ❌

This is a fantastic nursery that look after the children extremely well, give you frequent and track fully, your child's progress and areas that excel and areas that are behind but do so in an encouraging way. When something you don't agree with is told to the staff and to management they go the extra mile to review and change so that your worries are out to rest. Strongly recommend.

A fantastic day care. Found this little gem when I moved into the area with my LO and my friend recommended this place. There have been so many instances when I have been touched by the level of care received. Whenever I have raised a point it has always been addressed in a fair and satisfactory way. I 💯 have a peace of mind when I leave my child here to go to work and would highly recommend it.
