Busy Bees Day Nursery at Watford

Absolutely appalling nursery! Our child was enrolled for less than a year because we couldn’t take it anymore. When we viewed the nursery we had heard all good things, the managing director seemed lovely, however she had left by the time my child started, one of three directors in the time my child was there. We had non stop issues, they told us we would get 30 hours funding, which eventually changed to 7, a lot less than we had been told and getting an explanation as to why was almost impossible. We started our child off on two half days, telling them we wanted two full days at the start of the new term, which they agreed to, however when the time came they said they had no afternoon spaces left! When I queried that it had already been agreed they said they had no paperwork reflecting this but magically had space for us now…. When my partner called to discuss the issues they were on the third director within a few months, she was unbelievably rude, I couldn’t believe her attitude, she was antagonistic, condescending and done her upmost to belittle my partner, resulting in me having to make a formal complaint. Furthermore the staff are consistently late and then can’t let you in for insurance reasons, leaving you and your child standing outside until someone turns up (freezing in winter & wont even let you into reception) I was late for work a number of times because of this. My child just wasn’t kept occupied during his time there, to the point he wanted to wander off into the garden for something to do, resulting in staff telling us he was misbehaving. He eventually started to hate going and would get upset saying he didn’t want to go. When we had enough and decided to take him out we assumed the nursery would make the effort to make a bit of a fuss of him on his last day and have his friends say goodbye, but no, we were mistaken, the staff said they didn’t even know it was his last day. I have never felt so utterly disgusted, disappointed and on top of that, guilty for having sent my child to be looked after by people who clearly couldn’t care less about him, they should be ashamed.

Our experience at Busy Bees Watford has been deeply troubling, and as a parent, I feel compelled to share my concerns. My son Noah attended for an entire year, during which time he developed spots on his mouth and his body. It was later apparent that this was due to inadequate supervision — staff were not monitoring what he was putting into his mouth. I cannot overstate how distressing this was for our family. The nursery environment itself raises serious red flags. The premises are unhygienic, and in poor repair. I had to withdraw my son as soon as possible. The lack of professional care, deteriorating facilities, and absence of accountability make this a setting I cannot recommend.

Two of my three daughters have attended this nursery and both have really enjoyed their time here. The staff are attentive, take pride in what they do and really get to know the children in their care. Our only issue has been from its accounting side, where we have had bills that were worked out wrong, which then seem to take an age to get right. Apart from that minor issue, this is a great place for children to get a decent start that will prepare them for their school years.

My daughter started at busybees at the age of 9 months, and now she has turned 4 years. It has been a marvelllous journey throughout. The staff their is great, they are like a family . I am a proud mother seeing my daughter developed so much!! There’s a wonderful focus on each child’s need and how to get the best out of each child. The care at Busybeees is simply amazing. Sobia and Karina are always there to help and super attentive to the needs of each child. I couldn’t be happier with the care and development my daughter has received. The environment is very nurturing and supportive which my daughter thrives in. I would thoroughly recommend.

We loved having our daughter at Busy Bees Watford. She always comes home clean and happy. She has learned so much as well! The staff are all so friendly and take good care of the babies.
