Inclusion & environment
Staff find out what children know and can do. They use their assessments to see if children need extra help with their learning and development. Staff work together with parents to provide targeted support. Children with gaps in their learning are identified early. Staff work with parents to agree the outcomes they want children to achieve.
Some activities are not adapted enough to meet each individual child's learning needs. For example, children create an obstacle course outside. The equipment provided only enables them to build low bridges. Children find it easy to move along the course. This doesn't challenge their physical skills.
Be careful sending your children here - EHO inspection from last month rated hygienic food handling as needing major improvement. Children are more likely to get seriously ill from food borne diseases - hopefully until the rating is improved this nursery is not serving food to children.
Read on GoogleGreat experience so far! (6 months in). Lovely facilities, friendly and caring staff, varied and healthy meals, fun and interesting activities. Very happy with our choice of nursery and thrilled to see our little one (18months old) thriving there.
Read on GoogleI have already recommended to many friends and would gladly do so again. The level of care and management is second to none at York. Staff really do take a personal interest in the wellbeing of your child and get to know them well - even if only attending a couple of days a week. We have always felt welcome and I trust them with the happiness and care of my children 100%. They also go the extra mile, getting involved with special festivals and occasions such as the Jubilee, world book day etc and making the children feel special through parties for such events. The transition for my eldest to school has made me confident that he will be as prepared as possible come September. I am so glad we found Busy Bees York.
Read on GoogleMy daughter thrived at Busy Bees York. The focus on care and development is second to none and the preparation they provide for starting primary school was invaluable. My daughter left after 3 and a half years with very fond memories of the team.
Read on GoogleWonderful staff! The nursery is very well organised but it is the staff that make this a fantastic place. My son is very happy here.
