The Ofsted report described an extremely friendly atmosphere where children show a joy for learning and are treated with kindness and respect. The inspector found that teaching and learning are excellent, with staff planning experiences to take children's learning forward and promoting literacy skills. Staff were noted for developing children's ideas by playing alongside them and using questions to extend their thinking. The report also stated that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive the support they need to make outstanding progress. Parents told the inspector that staff are kind, caring and knowledgeable.

Little Green Rascals Poppleton is such a lovely small little nursery, it has a real home from home feel. The staff are brilliant and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The children are at the centre of everything they do. The activities they provide for thr children are outstanding and learning created for each individual child. They have some wonderful extra curricular activities on offer- this ranges from yoga, Spanish, baby band, kixx, rugby. The children are always out and about in the local community and they have just started doing wood work with the children which is a fantastic extra addition. Amazing nursery.

Both our children have always been so happy at LGR Poppleton. The staff are wonderful and make everyday fun, not to mention the delicious meals they get to eat there! Their approach to encourage learning in a playful way has had a huge impact on our children's knowledge. The social and communication skills they have learnt are invaluable skills that they can take away for life. The preschool room is a great transition for school and I would recommend this nursery to any prospective parent.
