Butterflies Pre-school and Priory Kids Club, established in 2002, offers dedicated nursery and day care services in Hull, fostering a loving, caring, and respectful atmosphere. The pre-school encourages children to explore, develop, and learn through play in a secure and harmonious setting, supported by experienced and understanding adults.
The highly qualified staff are trained in child protection and development, possess enhanced DBS checks, and are all certified paediatric first aiders. A SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) is always available on-site to cater to diverse needs.
As an Ofsted-registered group, Butterflies adheres to procedures approved by the Local Safeguarding Children Board and implements the Practice Guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage, focusing on the Seven Areas of Learning to ensure comprehensive development. How they support every child
SEND provision
Staff respond quickly when children need additional support. They work with parents to seek help from external professionals. 'Chatterbox' sessions are used to support children, including for those awaiting formal interventions. All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress in relation to their individual starting points as a result. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Outdoor space
Children confidently explore the stimulating environment. They choose the direction of their play as they independently access a wide range of activities, both inside and outside. Even the youngest children try to take off their coats and hang them up after outdoor play.

All the staff do a wonderful job of educating children from such an early age. There is so many different ways of educating them at this setting The staff are polite, respectful and listen to your concerns regarding child development and come up with ideas to help overcome barriers. The setting itself is clean. Top job!
