Carols Kidz Care in Bedlington provides care for children aged from one to nine years. The setting is open all year round, from Monday to Friday, between 7am and 6pm. Following an inspection in October 2022, Ofsted rated the day nursery as Good. The inspector reported that children feel safe and secure, forming relationships with adults and other children. They benefit from a curriculum which prepares them for future learning and helps them to develop confidence and self-esteem.
Children demonstrate good physical skills in the outdoor area, where they can climb on tyres and crates, use swings, and ride bikes and scooters. Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities by working with parents and external professionals. They also liaise with local schools to help prepare children for their transition. The Ofsted report noted that parents speak highly of the setting and that their children are eager to attend nursery.

SEND provision
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported to make good progress in their learning. Staff work with external professionals and parents to identify what children need to learn next. Staff liaise with schools and other early years providers where children attend, sharing information and inviting teachers into the setting before children move on to school to provide a continued approach to children's learning.
Outdoor space
Children demonstrate good physical skills. For instance, they climb over tyres and crates in the outside area. Children laugh as staff gentle push them on swings, and other children race around on bikes and scooters.
