About this day nursery

The Castle Nursery, established in 1986, provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children in Bromsgrove. With two distinct nursery settings, Parkside and Perryfields, the nursery offers a comprehensive childcare experience.

Parkside is a purpose-built facility with bright, airy glazed corridors, while Perryfields provides a traditional, homely atmosphere in a converted cottage. Both locations feature dedicated baby, toddler, and pre-school rooms, each with access to outdoor play areas, encouraging free-flowing indoor and outdoor activities.

The nursery prioritises the healthy development of children, offering nutritious meals and catering to various dietary requirements. Beyond daily childcare, The Castle Nursery extends its services with a "Castle Kids Club," offering before and after-school care at St Peters First School, and an after-school club at Ednall Lane with transport for Finstall First School and Aston Fields Middle School students.

A holiday club is also available at Finstall First School during half terms and the summer break, ensuring continuous support for families. The nursery focuses on fostering confidence, respect for diversity, and a love for learning through play in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Our daughter started at Castle Nursery Parkside not long after her first birthday. She had struggled with me returning to work before she started, and it had impacted on her sleep. The team at Castle were amazing in working with us to help get our daughter settled gently and with care, making sure she was getting good quality sleep at nursery which helped us to get quickly back into a good routine. It’s been almost a year since we joined the nursery in the Baby Room and it truly is a second family for our daughter. She has a lovely bond with the nursery team and they show such heartfelt care, interest and attention towards the children. She learns through play, song and stories and has come on leaps and bounds this last year. Fantastic nursery, we are so happy to have found it.

Fantastic nursery for our daughter. She started at 13months and the staff were incredibly kind and supportive during the first few weeks. She has definitely grown in confidence with the support of the baby room staff and she loves going in and clearly enjoys herself. So much so she's disappointed to come home some days! Would recommend to anyone looking for a kind, engaging and loving nursery environment.

Castle Nursery is extremely friendly, welcoming and professional. All the staff have been great with my daughter and currently my son. They have really helped my son to feel comfortable, confident and ready for school in September. I’d highly recommend them.

Words cannot describe, how amazing this nursery is! Initially I was a little apprehensive about sending my daughter to a nursery after she'd been at a child minders for 2 1/2years, but then I made the decision that to prepare her for school a nursery would have been more beneficial, especially with her being under assessment through the NHS for possible needs. This is the best decision I ever made, my daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting there five months ago. Yesterday my daughter attended a Learning and Development Group and the therapists there said that my daughter was not recognisable as the child they had read about in their referral. The staff there are amazing, my daughter absolutely loves it and the food is also amazing and a reasonable cost. I would like to thank Trudy, Jade and Ann, the managers and everyone else who has helped my daughter, working closely alongside her to reach her goals, I can't thank them enough....
