Inclusion & environment
How they support every child
SEND provision
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive excellent support to ensure they make good progress in all areas of their development. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND. Leaders ensure that every child's individual needs are swiftly identified and effectively assessed to support them in reducing barriers to learning and wellbeing. Children who face barriers to learning or wellbeing achieve particularly well from their starting points; those who previously found it difficult to communicate now do so using Makaton or visual cues.
Outdoor space
Staff value the importance of children securing good physical skills and provide opportunities for all children to gain competent motor skills. For instance, young babies cruise and climb on equipment to help develop their balance and coordination skills for walking. Older children use a range of tools and equipment to help develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Leaders have recently refurbished the garden and have plans to develop it further, such as by creating a healthy garden to grow food for the nursery guinea pigs.
EAL / language support
Children who have limited or no vocabulary are supported to communicate in other ways, such as visual cues, now and next boards or electronic boards with key symbols on them. Children's home languages are celebrated.

Please listen to the comments that talk about rude staff - I wish I did before we had this horrible experience with them. we found the manager and staff to be extremely rude. My nephew attended 3 days as backup care and on several occasions and by different staff members we noted that the staff is extremely rude and so unwelcoming. On the last day, one of the staff members put her hands in front of my sister’s face and screamed saying: “ I DONT KNOW YOU PLEASE STEP BACK”..even though her child was there for the whole day - how inconsiderate and disrespectful for a parent trying to pick up child after a long day of work. My sister was shaking from this treatment. NEVER AGAIN with this rude unprofessional nursery! I would not trust my child with them!!

Our 10month old daughter started here 2 weeks ago. She has had a fantastic time so far and the staff cannot have been more helpful. Very daunting leaving your child somewhere for long periods, especially then it’s your first but, the team have made it as easy as possible. COVID has sadly restricted some of the interactions with pick up and drop off but the team have done a lot to ensure there is still a high level of Covid compliant interactions, such as displays outside showing what the children have been doing. We feel we have made the perfect decision for our little girl.
