Our experience with Rainbows Day Nursery has been nothing short of exceptional, and we couldn't recommend it more highly! Our son started when he was two years old, and from day one, has thrived in its supportive and comforting environment. The setting itself is nestled within a park and surrounded by woodlands. It offers endless opportunities for outdoor play and learning, which we absolutely love. Plus, the easy parking makes drop-offs and pick-ups less stressful! The range of activities and the curriculum are fantastic. Our son has enjoyed everything from visits from 'people who help us' to an exciting science week filled with experiments. The home learning packs are also a lovely touch. We've been really impressed with how well Rainbows have managed and catered to our son’s milk allergy. They have a medical plan in place and always provide him with a variety of healthy alternatives so he doesn’t miss out. Beyond the daily care, Rainbows really does foster a strong sense of community. There are special events for Easter, Christmas, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Halloween and a Teddy Bear Summer Picnic. These are always fun, with thoughtful crafts, messy play, games and snacks. They also give us the opportunity to see our son interact with his friends in the nursery environment. Grandparents Day, where grandparents can come and read to the little ones, is another example of their commitment to community and family involvement. The communication is great. We receive regular updates and photos via the famly app. Parents' evenings, detailed progress reports, and monthly communication sheets ensure we're always informed about his development and can raise any concerns regarding this. They even provide support outside of the nursery environment with helpful guidance and resources for potty training and dummy removal – the special 'dummy fairy pack' created by Vicki (complete with glitter and a certificate) made the transition so much easier for our son (and for us)! Most importantly, the staff really care and know our child inside out. He has built wonderful relationships with both the other children and the team. It's clear they genuinely care about him. Thank you Jade and team!

I am extremely happy with this nursery. My child is always excited to go in each morning and has built a strong bond with the staff members who are very experienced, caring, and go out of their way to make him laugh. The children are engaged with lots of activities throughout the day and my son is always happy when I pick him up. I feel very confident that my child is in safe hands, and alongside myself, they have been helping to further his learning and nurture his curiosity. It’s a small, family-run nursery, and we really benefit from the caring environment it fosters. I also receive plenty of updates throughout the day via the app. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Rainbows is a fantastic nursery run by such an experienced and friendly team. My son has attended for over a year now and goes 4 days a week, he is so excited every time I drop him off and literally skips through the door. It’s so lovely to see how happy he is when I pick him up and the team are so thorough with their updates of what he gets up to throughout the day. Jade and the team have been beyond supportive with his development and any queries that we have are always dealt with sincerity and helpful advice. I recommend Rainbows to anyone in the area looking at nurseries, your children will be in the best hands.

Our son joined Rainbows in March at the age of 11 months. It was a daunting prospect to leave him to go back to work, as he was so small. But we had nothing to worry about- he is thriving. He is so happy to go in every morning, reaching over for cuddles and not even a backwards glance. The setting is great, a peaceful corner of the park, with a focus on outdoor playing a big part of their day. Activities are interesting and varied and we love seeing the regular updates on what the class have been doing. Dana and Kirsty in Caterpillars are wonderful- there is no doubt Rainbows is a place where nurturing and development are prevalent. Our son has come on leaps and bounds in such a short space of time. We have no doubt a big part of this is because of Rainbows 🩷

Rainbows Day Nursery is a truly wonderful place, filled with people who genuinely care about children and are deeply committed to their development. Both of my children attend, and I drop them off three days a week with complete confidence that they’re in safe, nurturing hands. At pick-up, the smiles on their faces say it all—they’ve clearly had a fantastic day. Over the years, I’ve come to know the team well. They’ve been incredibly supportive—not just of my children, but of our whole family. They always listen with care, take our feedback seriously, and offer thoughtful suggestions to support us. I’ve never felt dismissed or belittled when raising concerns about my children’s development. As our needs have changed, the nursery has consistently been flexible and accommodating, which has made a real difference during challenging times. Compared to some larger nurseries, Rainbows is relatively small—but that’s one of the things I love most. There’s a genuine sense of community, which Jade has clearly worked hard to foster through events and activities. My husband and I have even made friends with other parents, which has been a lovely bonus. When we compare our experiences, we all say the same thing: the staff truly care, our children are happy, and we all value the warm, close-knit environment. Communication is excellent. The team keeps us informed through the Famly app, sharing milestones and daily updates. I love seeing what the children have been up to, and being able to share our own observations from home makes it feel like a real partnership. That connection between home and nursery has grown even stronger over the past year. Most importantly, I’ve always felt that my children’s emotional wellbeing is in safe hands—and this is where the team at Rainbows truly shines. Their care, empathy, and attention to each child’s needs go above and beyond. We’re so grateful to be part of the Rainbows community—it’s made such a positive difference in our children’s lives and in ours.
