Cawthorne Road Day Nursery, established in 1991, provides outstanding childcare for children aged 0-4 years. Open all year round from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, the nursery offers a nurturing family environment where children thrive and blossom.
Children confidently explore and investigate exciting resources both indoors and outdoors, with babies and toddlers enjoying daily outdoor play where they develop excellent physical skills. The nursery features a "secret garden" where children can search for bugs and learn about saving resources by collecting rainwater.
The ambitious and structured curriculum ensures all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make outstanding progress. Staff work closely with other professionals for early intervention and regularly check communication and language skills to narrow any gaps.
This highly inclusive setting values children's thoughts and ideas, fostering firm friendships and exemplary behaviour. Parents consistently praise the "amazing" staff and feel extraordinarily well-informed about their child's learning and development.

Inclusion & environment
All children make outstanding progress, including those with special educational needs and/or learning disabilities. Staff work very closely with other settings and professionals, to ensure there is early intervention for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They actively seek support from the local authority development officer and carry out regular checks on communication and language skills, taking prompt action to narrow any gaps.
Children confidently explore and investigate exciting resources inside and outdoors. For example, children happily search for bugs in the 'secret garden'. They independently collect water in cans from the barrel and explain that they use rainwater to save a precious resource. Babies and toddlers enjoy outdoor play daily and relish meeting up with older children.
