Charnwood Day Nursery and Preschool in Loughborough provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years, operating Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6 pm, all year round, closing only for bank holidays and one week at Christmas. For children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who speak English as an additional language, staff assess what they know and can do to support their learning and address any gaps.

Outdoor learning is encouraged, with children independently refilling water pots from an outside tap and cooperatively carrying them back for creative play. Staff also embrace children's interests, incorporating shared experiences from home into planned activities, such as creating a band with homemade instruments.

Parents commend the staff on their communication regarding all aspects of their children's care and education, including how to support learning at home. The nursery also promotes independence from a young age, teaching children practical skills like pouring their own water and using cutlery efficiently.
