Inspector highlights

  • Managers have a clear vision about what they want children to learn about communication and language skills, mathematics and developing increasing independence.
  • Staff speak clearly with children and model language well. Younger children develop good communication skills as they sing songs with actions.
  • Children of all ages are learning to appreciate and enjoy books. They spend time looking at books, both independently and with staff.
  • Children learn about their emotions. They sing songs linked to emotions, and staff use signs for feelings, such as happy and sad.
  • Partnerships with parents are strong. Staff organise stay-and-play sessions for families to take part in, while effective communication is supported through newsletters and parents' evenings.

Areas to develop

  • 1implement strategies to support all children to engage in activities
  • 2enhance staff interactions with quieter children to ensure they are engaged in discussions and supported to develop their speaking skills.

This is a fantastic nursery with great staff devoted to develop a child happiness and excellent manners which has become evident with my little one. The building is undergoing a refurbishment project at the moment, so the nursery continues to expand to make it more accommodating and introduce more activities for the children. The staff deserve so much for their hardwork and I'm ever so grateful for how far my child has come in terms of cognitive improvement since attending nursery. The staff members and management keep me informed if there's any issues worth mentioning. 10/10

We have been charged the registration fee even though our baby was not even registered as when we have received the invoice was double than what we initially discussed. I had to dispute the payment and I was lucky with my bank that they charge back the money. Even though it's a nice place I find it strange to be managed by thiefs.

Everyone in buttercups has been amazing. I was so worried about my daughter’s transition from baby room to the next due to her finding it difficult with new people. Everyone has been so great at keeping me updated, reassuring me and she seems to have settled really well and be happy. I am really grateful for everyone that has supported her (and me) as she’s moved up. And just to add how amazing everyone in baby room has been the past year, I had no doubt leaving my daughter in their care. Special mention for Evie who is so nurturing, caring, and just a genuine person- definitely somebody you need to hold on to❤️
