The curriculum places a strong focus on supporting children's social skills and language development, with staff introducing new vocabulary during play and encouraging children to ask questions. Children have ample opportunities for outdoor learning, exploring a bug hunt area with magnifying lenses and developing large-muscle skills on tricycles and a low-level obstacle course.

Outdoor space

Children explore the outside world in the bug hunt area using magnifying lenses to examine objects closely and asking questions such as "Where does it live?" Staff help to extend and broaden children's knowledge of living things, explaining how important worms are for the garden. Outside, children develop large-muscle skills well, learning to take calculated risks by themselves as they pedal tricycles and try to balance on a low-level obstacle course.
