About this day nursery

Cherubs Nurseries has been providing childcare for over 25 years, stemming from founder Susan Mills' personal quest for suitable childcare for her own child in 1993. The group has grown significantly since then, evolving to offer a network of nurseries across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, each dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children's early development.

They emphasise aiding families in navigating the complexities of childcare costs by supporting various government funding initiatives. Cherubs Nurseries regularly receives accolades, including recognition as a top nursery group and top recommended nurseries in the East Midlands, with individual staff members also receiving awards.

The organisation is committed to continuous improvement and community engagement.

Pre-school children demonstrate their secure learning as they role play 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' in the garden. Absolutely adore this nursery. My daughter has been so well taken care of since starting in February. They keep the rooms appropriately split by age so I found comfort in there being a relatively small baby room with other children her age to ease her in when she started. It feels like a 2nd family there and my daughter gets so excited to go and gets her own shoes in the morning and heads to the door, sometimes well before we need to leave! The girls are thoughtful, kind, fun and really take care of the children and it’s so lovely to see. My son was in a different nursery and I am impressed daily by how much of a more caring, personal and professional nursery cherubs is to the one he went to. The activities they do with the kids are brilliant and age appropriate, they have introduced my daughter to some really lovely (and sometimes messy) things that I don’t have time to do often at home. My daughter also has a dairy allergy and we have never had any problem with them supporting her dietary requirements. Their communication on the app throughout the day is brilliant too, I don’t go a day without having some lovely photos uploaded to see what she’s enjoying. Thank you cherubs and all of you beauties that work there!

Prices gone up 56% since April 2022. Not sustainable. Pricing maybe transparent however the rate of inflation isn't inline with any other service providers. Numerous platforms... 1 Google and 1 Facebook review, Please dont try to paint me as somthing im not, and do feel free to reply to my email on Monday.

My daughter attends cherubs twice a week and loves it there! She has made so many special bonds with children and staff, she has also accomplished so much at such a young age. Everyday is such a fun, filled, messy play day for her. I am very thankful. xx

Cherubs mapperley have become an integral part of our daughter's development. The staff at the nursery make such an effort to know all of the children by name, it's as if family are caring for our child. We have been blown away by the kindness and care from all the staff members. From the lovely manager Ellie greeting us with her warm smile to the wonderful staff such as Meg, Leah, Courtney and Jasmine. All absolutely wonderful, there are too many to name! It is a great blessing to have found such a wonderful nursery for our little girl. Our daughter absolutely loves coming to cherubs, she has made many friends and looks forward to her two days a week. With another baby on the way, we will without hesitation be sending them next year. I highly recommend this nursery.
