About this day nursery

Children 1st @ Leicester offers an Ofsted-Outstanding learning environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, focusing on a holistic approach that nurtures each child's individual story. The nursery prides itself on its strong sense of community, viewing itself as an extended family for both children and parents.

They emphasise outdoor exploration and engaging activities within a well-resourced, open-plan setting to promote independence, communication, and early numeracy skills. The nursery's admissions process involves registering interest online, visiting the facility to meet the team and understand their offerings, and then confirming a place with a registration fee and deposit.

They use the Famly parent app for daily updates and communication. Children are supported through settling-in sessions and assigned a key person to ensure their individual needs are met as they transition through different stages of nursery life and prepare for school.

The fees are inclusive of infant formula, milk, home-cooked meals and snacks, health and hygiene consumables, and extracurricular activities. The nursery operates year-round, closing only for Christmas week and two annual staff training days, with monthly invoicing for easier financial planning.

Sibling and full-time attendance discounts are also available.
