How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities make excellent progress. Leaders and staff work collaboratively with various outside agencies, such as speech and language therapists, to design and implement strategies like visual aids and sign language to help children communicate their wants and needs. Consequently, children receive tailored support to meet their individual needs.

Outdoor space

Staff make effective use of outdoor areas to ignite children's fascination and to develop their physical skills. Younger children are engrossed in experiences, including dancing and jumping in puddles, while older children work as a team to create imaginative structures with crates. Children thrive in the outdoor area.

This is a very special place that puts the children at the heart of everything they do. Moving recently to the area, with three children under five, we were really worried about the transition for our children but we certainly made the right nursery choice. It’s like a little family and it’s been a lifeline for my husband and me. The children all come home excited to tell us about their day. There’s so many things for the children to do and the outside area is so lovingly crafted and planned. The pre-school room really feels like a place they can prepare for school life and my little boy has come along in leaps and bounds since starting. A kind, nurturing place with happy staff and children.

Our son started this nursery in June 2022, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Each and every single member of staff is just superb. So friendly, yet professional and they listen and support us parents just as much as settling and supporting our child. Every day they greet me or my partner with our son with smiles and enthusiasm, and they have truly offered a service above and beyond. Julie is our key worker for our son, and she is just incredible. What a lady. But Lucy, and all the other staff are outstanding and their passion for what they do shines throughout everything they do. They dedicate such care and love and compassion to the children in their care, and although it is an adjustment to see staff interacting with your baby from afar like when we collect our son - I literally wouldn’t have it any other way and that reassurance and trust in their staff is priceless. All the staff know all the children by name, their mannerisms, their likes and support needs. You simply couldn’t ask for a better nursery service - for both child and parents. They have a great app for parents whereby they upload information about our son, share photographs and lovely little insights about what they’ve been up to. The toys and facilities are brilliant - and they even prepared a welcome package for the parents which was so thoughtful. It’s such a challenging time returning to work after maternity leave and adjusting to new routines, but our experience at Chrysalis is only positive and joyful and supportive. My partner and I feel genuinely supported into this new chapter of our lives. We feel so lucky for them to be a part of Teddy’s life and development. They feel like family - and I honestly couldn’t recommend them more for other parents. So it’s a 11/10 review from me. And just a massive thank you to all of you at Chrysalis from the amazing chef John to all the staff behind the scenes - thank you so much. You have made such a beautiful and meaningful difference to our lives.

We couldn't be happier with the level of care that Chrysalis provide for our daughter. All of the staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and understanding of the individual needs of each child. It is lovely to see the relationships that develop between the staff and children as they grow up. The play areas are spacious, bright and engaging for the children, and always have a great and ever-changing display of photos and artwork, showing off all the fun activities that take place every day. The meals are healthy and varied - we never worry about what our daughter is eating at nursery! Sending a child to the nursery is a difficult decision to make, but we are thrilled with Chrysalis and couldn't recommend it highly enough. We have every confidence that from 6 months old through to pre-school, our daughter will have had 4 years of fun, smiles and learning.

My son was at Chrysalis from 10 months old all the way to primary school and now my 1 year old daughter is also there. I can’t fault the care they have provided over the years. My son loved the staff, he was always happy to go in. They are very flexible and understanding. The reception is quick to reply to emails. The staff are knowledgeable and have given me good advice over the years, which was great as a new mum. I highly recommend Chrysalis.

My little girl has been attending Chrysalis since September. When I initially phoned to book an appointment to go for a look around, the staff were so friendly and welcoming that I instantly knew that this was where I wanted to send my daughter and I have never regretted my decision. The staff were so patient in helping to settle her into her room and nothing was too much trouble. She is actually about to move to the next room up and I’m beyond impressed with how the transition is being handled. I’m so glad that I made that phone call as my daughter had never been left with anyone other than family before she started in September, and to see the progress she has made, I don’t think I will ever be able to thank the staff enough
