Inclusion & environment
Staff have established effective links with outside agencies to support children who may require additional help.
Staff provide children with interesting, fun environments, both indoors and outdoors, in which to learn. Children learn the importance of fresh air and exercise and the need to keep warm when playing outdoors.
I have so many wonderful memories as a parent of two children who attended this fantastic nursery, I'm not sure where to begin. In fact, writing this review makes me a little emotional. I'll start with the setting, both my children and I would agree that the garden is a massive highlight at Clacton Montessori. It's just perfect (huge) and always in use whatever the weather! The three-story building provides ample space for a variety of activities, allowing little ones to explore safely, grow and learning at their own pace. The staff (all of whom are simply amazing!), the management team are kind, approachable and always happy to offer support. They are involved with the children's development on a day-to-day basis. My youngest especially is always coming home and showing the life skills she has learnt from "Becky". The floor staff are also the sweetest people, showing kindness and interest in each child as individuals. From Alex who will bring my child to the door at the end of each day covered in stickers or mud or whatever has captured my daughter's interest that day & always with a smile! Katey, who had taught both of them so much about the world around them. I could go on forever with each staff member making such a tremendous impact on my little ones! Let's talk, communication, honestly hands down the best. Daily logs, photos, updates and a messaging service sent straight to an easy-to-use app on my phone, I feel like I'm never missing a moment with my child even when im busy with my work life schedule. There is also always someone at the end of the phone should I need to call in. My messages no matter how small are always responded to promptly and the staff are happy to chat in the mornings or at pick-up times. Events, yes, lots of wonderful memories! From wintertime and meeting Santa, to face painting and raffles, summer graduation. Everyone here really pours their heart and soul into everything they do, and speaking from experience as a parent you can be as involved (or not) as suits you. Personally I love to be involved and they were kind enough to give us a space to set up a stall at the winter event. This leads us to flexibility, Clacton Montessori has made everything stress free, like holidays, changes with my husband's work schedule or my oldest starting school. Allowing us to alter pick-up and drop-off times. Thank you so much! Safety first! A quick call to check when it comes to my children and their food intolerance, checking that the right person is there at pick-up time. Keeping my son (the escape artist) safe, I'm sure the staff here have eyes in the back of their heads! School ready, you bet ya! My oldest learnt everything he needed and more for a smooth transition into (big school). He was so ready thanks to everyone who took the time and had the patience to teach him, phonics, numbers, support with proper toilet hygiene, writing and recognising his name and so much more. He is thriving and about to enter year one. My youngest has been given the same level of passion during her journey here from every one and she is filled with confidence, all the skills she will need and some. As I said earlier, I could go on forever with nothing but positivity and praise for Clacton Montessori and all the team. I really could not have asked for more for my children and myself from a nursery/pre-school. Thank you all so much, it is with great sadness that our journey here is coming to an end. Keep doing what you are doing!! Xx
Read on GoogleMy son has been here at Clacton Montessori Nursery for 4 months now and he has came on in leaps and bounds. He settled in incredibly quickly which was so surprising to us. The garden is big and they take them on trips out to the beach etc. The activities look so fun. The management and all of the staff are so caring and lovely. I leave him in complete confidence that his needs are being met and he is safe. Communication between staff and parents never falters, and we are kept up-to-date with what he’s getting up to and sent pictures through the app. Thank you for making my son feel right at home and allowing him to flourish. He has the best time there and it’s evident by how excited he is to go to nursery. ❤️
Read on GoogleI cannot fault the team at Clacton Montessori Nursery, they are always so cheerful, caring and supportive. They are always going above and beyond for the children that attend and are always happy to help with queries, questions and advice. Would highly recommend to all parents looking for a safe, supportive and homely space. 😊
Read on GoogleThe team at Montessori have been absolutely wonderful with my little boy, and myself! He started at 8 months old and has grown so much in that time - he’s now 18 months. He loves going in, and very quickly waves goodbye to me on drop off so that he can go and start playing with his friends. Courtney, his keyworker, is truly an angel but the whole staff are lovely and so helpful!!
Read on GoogleI highly recommend this nursery to parents with young children/babies. With lots of resources, a fantastic friendly team and management. The outside space is lovely and all children are very happy and comfortable. Fantastic facility!
