My son has been attending Cleo's Caring Corner since he was 1 years old and is now 4. I can not recommend the staff enough. They are all so caring towards the children and really focuses on the curriculum, which goes beyond just the standard of the EYFS framework. The staff are highly professional and nurturing towards the children and create a home from home environment. My child has developed fantastic social skills and has a fantastic approach for learning. The nursery itself creates and maintains great communication with parents, keeping us involved and informed about what our child is getting up to throughout his day, whilst uploading pictures to make me feel at ease. I personally would recommend Cleo's Caring Corner to anyone that is seeking a warm home from home nursery.

I am sorry to say that we had an absolutely horrific experience at this nursery and had to pull our child out after just one month as we felt so unsafe. As someone who has experience as a teacher, including in an early years setting, I was really shocked by the safeguarding issues and complete lack of engagement for the infants. I can't speak to the older children, but for the babies the setting is not fit for purpose. On our first day, our baby ate one ounce and nothing else for more than 9 hours. When we picked him up, he had been hysterical for 2 hours. No one had made any attempts to contact us during this entire time and our very young infant had been allowed to starve for an entire day (something that is extremely dangerous). When I raised this with the managers, even more concerningly they weren't even aware of this issue (suggesting that an infant hysterically screaming in the hall for 2 hours is a normal occurence...?) and it turned out he hadn't even been in the register(!) on his first day, a very serious safeguarding issue. Babies are put to sleep in prams in the hallway, as default. Not cots. When we didn't bring his pram one day, he was put in another baby's pram and we were told we needed to bring it every day for him to sleep him. I was explicitly told when we visited that babies slept in cots but like many things we were told in our tour, this was not true. I was explicitly told by the manager the nursery does not follow EYFS guidelines, despite this being a legal requirement. We received zero updates, pictures, or information about what our baby was doing, eating, learning, etc. The managers acknowledged that the babies are really just left to hang out in one room all day, with no activities. This was very clear during my trial session, when the one "activity" was the kids each being given a plastic ball. In one hour, that was it. They just hung out in a room with some random toys about. When we asked about enrichment, the managers could only think of one activity from the entire previous month: babies making father's day cards. They couldn't think of anything else the babies had done over an entire month. We were overbilled over and over and our refund we were assured would come by a certain date didn't. After our prompting, it finally came, but only half of it. We then had to chase again. Every time we raised our concerns about the billing, we were told the issue had been "fixed", when it hadn't been. This happened over and over and we were still being over-charged. It was very worrying and was only because we were so diligent and persistent that we were able to get this corrected. In the infant room, they had one staff member be the key worker for every single baby. It is impossible to reach staff over email, they just don't reply. We had no way to reach anyone at the nursery and we only received a staff phone number after several weeks. Reaching people by phone was spotty, at best. Finally, there are 0 attempts to get to know the infants as individuals. We were told that if we want them to know anything about our son, we had to write it on the white board every single day. This wasn't really surprising, given that every time we picked him up he was with a different person, who always seemed brand new and under-qualified and confused. Turnover was clearly extremely high and staff always looked tired, stressed, and confused. And, of course, there were no attempts to update us, ever, on anything that had happened or how our baby was going. We know nursery standards are plummeting in Bristol, but our experience was terrifying. We are so happy with our new nursery and it just highlights how terrible this experience was. We are so glad not to have our son there anymore and would recommend other parents look elsewhere. It is not worth the risk to your baby's safety and wellbeing.

My son started at Cleo’s just before he was 1 and we couldn’t be happier with the care they give him. Every single member of staff we have met have been so warm and kind, and we are always met with the most welcoming smiles when we drop him off, my son is always sad to say goodbye to the staff at the end of the day too as he’s built such lovely relationships with them, which for us has been the most important thing. Knowing he is looked after in such a caring environment has helped with what can be a tricky transition when your baby first starts nursery. Thank you Cleo and team for your continued hard work :)

Our daughter has been attending Cleo's Nursery for six months, and we've been incredibly pleased with the experience. The nursery provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and during her settling-in period, we were allowed to stay with her for over two weeks, which helped her adjust seamlessly. The staff are kind and caring, and they create a stimulating learning environment for all the children. They also emphasize the importance of good hygiene. We're so grateful to have discovered Cleo's Nursery.

My daughter has been with Cleo and her lovely staff for two years and she couldn’t be happier. Along with lots and lots of making and play, she comes home wiser and more eloquent than both her parents. They have fun and loads of emotional support. Looking forward to her sister joining next year. Places are limited but they seem really flexible so plenty of opportunities to join. Great food menu which accommodates every diet. Very convenient and near two parks for all ages!
