Raised in Bristol at Felix Road Adventure Playground provides a stimulating and supportive environment for young children aged 9 months to 5 years, focusing on play-led learning within a nurturing atmosphere. The nursery, located within the Felix Road Adventure Playground in Easton, operates 51 weeks a year, closing only during the Christmas and New Year period and on major English Bank Holidays, catering to the needs of working families.
The facility features a spacious, homely open-plan main room for toddlers and preschoolers with direct access to a secure garden. Babies have their own dedicated room and outdoor play area.
The garden is designed to spark imagination with a large sandpit, wooden climbing frame, mud kitchen, and loose parts for creative play. As a social enterprise, Raised in Bristol reinvests profits back into the community, partnering with Eastside Community Trust and providing children with regular access to the adventure playground.

Staff gather detailed information from parents when children first start, to support their understanding of children's individual needs and routines. This information is used effectively to meet children's needs, and it helps children settle well. If staff identify gaps in children's learning, targeted support is put in place.
Outdoor space
Children make choices as to where they play and move freely between indoors and outdoors. Staff are keen for children to explore nature and develop their physical skills outdoors. Children listen to birds and observe their nests in the trees above them and learn about what insects are living in the insect hotel. Children have good opportunities to practise their physical skills outdoors, for example, they swing on rope swings and create balancing beams from logs and planks of wood.
