Targeted support is provided, with different environments for various age groups, for example, offering sensory toys for babies to encourage exploration. Staff act as positive role models, promoting good behaviour, sharing, and turn-taking, which contributes to a calm and purposeful atmosphere.
The nursery also places a strong emphasis on independence skills, preparing children for school by encouraging self-feeding and self-serving meals. For children requiring additional support, staff develop individual plans in collaboration with parents, ensuring consistent progress.
Older children benefit from an outside courtyard for fresh air and exercise, where they are taught about sun protection. The nursery has received an award for its commitment to environmental protection, engaging children in activities like recycling and growing vegetables.
Staff also utilise home languages to support children learning English as an additional language, although they are working on clearer communication regarding routine changes. Our experience with this nursery, where our little one started attending in October, has been truly exceptional—a clear 5-star standard. The seamless transition and consistent high level of care are outstanding. The activity program is brilliant and stimulating, featuring specialized sessions like Lucy Sparkles and engaging outings to the park and libraries. We especially appreciate their thoughtful policy not to take babies out when it's raining, which prioritizes comfort and gives us great peace of mind. Our key person, Ajak, is incredibly attentive, warm, and a credit to the team. She provides excellent, detailed daily feedback on development and activities, and we love receiving the frequent, high-quality pictures throughout the week. Furthermore, the dedication to daily care is evident: our baby is always picked up clean, with their nappy freshly changed, reflecting constant diligence. The nursery environment is expertly designed to foster routine and rest. We are impressed by the separate, quiet, and dark room dedicated solely for sleeping, ensuring high-quality naps. The structured approach to mealtimes in a separate dining space brilliantly helps establish a strong behavioral association with eating. Finally, the hands-on involvement of the management team, Alicia and Stevie, ensures a supportive, transparent, and professional atmosphere. We highly recommend this caring, stimulating, and brilliantly managed nursery.
Read on GoogleWe have been with this nursery for over 4 years now, with both of our daughters attending, and we have seen such a positive transformation over time. The recent team changes have brought so much energy and warmth. Stevie, Alicia, Bae, and Emily are incredible. They’re bubbly, patient, and genuinely care about the children. Our girls absolutely love all the team. The staff are always full of creative ideas to keep the little ones engaged, and there is a really lovely atmosphere. The food is varied and the girls talk about the chef at the house. The outdoor space, although small, is super cute and well used. Some light refurbishments have also been done, and overall we are just really happy. It feels like the nursery is constantly improving, and we’re very grateful for the care and attention the whole team provides.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been attending Clerkenwell Mount Nursery for 18 months. It's a really nice nursery and the staff and management been very supportive right from the start. Communication and updates from staff helped us a lot to get comfortable. We always felt our daughter was in good hands and there was not one day where she didn't want to go to the nursery. The food options, especially also those for vegetarians been great with good variety. Our little one especially enjoyed the activities at the nursery including messy play, the garden, painting, music etc. Overall we can highly recommend the nursery to anyone in the area looking for a reliable and warm (family like) place for their little ones.
Read on GoogleBoth kids attended this lovely local nursery. Staff retention is great, thus kids build long term positive relations with nursery team and feel very secure and happy there. Kudos to nursery manager as she is very supportive, accommodating for working parents’ needs and invests in her team.
Read on GoogleFirstly I would like to say thank you to the clerkenwell team for playing a big role in my son’s learning experience. I couldn’t have put him in a better nursery to give him a head start in his learning life. The level of teaching is amazing, my son is already bilingual, one day he came home counting in three other languages 😍. Having little amount of children in a nursery is such a bonus that the children are getting more one to one time which focuses on their development. I cannot wait for my second son to attend this nursery. ❤️
