Coconut Nursery, a childcare setting on non-domestic premises in London N16 0UH, provides care for children aged 0-4 years. Open from 8am to 6pm every weekday, all year round excluding Christmas, Easter, and bank holidays, the nursery ensures children quickly form strong attachments with staff, who greet them warmly, fostering confidence and security.
Leaders and staff are dedicated to teaching children about the world and promoting healthy lifestyles, as noted in their latest "Good" Ofsted inspection on 9 January 2024. The nursery, established in 1992, offers a varied and broad curriculum designed to spark curiosity.
Children engage in outdoor learning, exploring a garden growing area and observing the impact of weather on plants. They also develop physical skills by balancing on planks, climbing frames, and using tricycles.
The curriculum includes daily opportunities to engage with outside professionals, offering activities like football, French puppetry, music, and drama. Staff support independence from an early age, encouraging children to manage their own dressing and mealtimes.
The nursery also has a strong ethos of environmental protection, involving children in recycling through their eco-team and reusing books to create new storyboards, which also helps to build their vocabulary and imagination. Parents commend the nursery and its nurturing staff, appreciating the effective settling-in process and the support offered during crucial family milestones.
The setting is in receipt of funding for the provision of early years education for children aged three and four years.

Inclusion & environment
Children explore the growing area in the garden and have seen how the weather has had an impact on the plants they have grown. Outdoors, children learn to take risks as they balance on planks and climb the frames; they also use tricycles to manoeuvre around the playground.
My child was at Coconut for three really happy years. The staff were kind and caring, and I was confident that my daughter was safe and comfortable. In addition there were plenty of meaningful activities including music sessions, art projects, real life experiences like shopping for food and lots more. Recommended.

Read on GoogleThis place is very expensive. Don't think it's value for money at all. If you want to get in with the hipster church street crowd, I recommend this nursery.
