N Family Club Defoe Road, an Ofsted Outstanding nursery in Stoke Newington, London, provides a stimulating environment specifically designed for preschoolers in a converted church hall. The facility boasts four modern classrooms and exceptional amenities to foster play, learning, and exploration.

Dedicated to older children, the nursery offers a robust learning experience as they prepare for school, with a particular focus on outdoor education. All children aged three and above participate in Forest School-inspired sessions daily, regardless of the weather, for two hours.

The nursery operates 51 weeks a year, with standard hours from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, and extended hours from 7 am to 7 pm, subject to availability. Meals are freshly prepared on-site from curated menus.

The nursery also features an "N Café" for parents to enjoy a tea, coffee, and snack during drop-off, encouraging community interaction. They provide flexibility with emergency day swaps and offer ad hoc days for purchase when available.

Pricing & funding

The nursery offers standard full days from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with options to extend by up to an hour on either side. Fees are split into age bands for under threes and over threes, calculated across 51 weeks and averaged into 12 monthly payments. A minimum booking of three full days is required.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities passionately. They promptly identify children's specific needs, swiftly apply appropriate measures for support and work closely with families to access the appropriate help through external agencies.

Outdoor space

All children benefit from staff's expert knowledge of forest school pedagogy. They develop understanding, love and respect for the natural world around them. Staff extend the forest school experience into the nursery where children immerse themselves in making stickmen.
