Cuddly Bear Sydenham Hill is an excellent nursery. Our son is approaching a year here and we could not be happier with the care shown by the team. Our son walks in happily each morning, we are always greeted promptly by the friendly ops team on the door and pickup is always a pleasure - a chance to find out how his day has gone and to chat to other parents. He enjoys the home cooked food very much and often does not require dinner when he returns home. Cuddly Bear offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities to the children as part of the curriculum - lots of singing, craft work and sport such as football - and they keep us updated as parents every quarter via a parents meeting with his key worker. There are also opportunities for parents to visit the nursery on special occasions such as Mother’s / Father’s Day, world book day and the Christmas celebration at a local school is a particular highlight. The nursery community is diverse and I disagree with a previous review stating it is not. We could not be happier to be part of the Cuddly Bear family!

Cuddly Bear Day Care became a hugely significant part of our family life while our daughter was there. The staff cared for and supported her as she grew from a 1 year old baby into a confident and kind 4 year old ready for school. The outdoor space at Sydenham Hill is amazing and means the kids are out everyday in the fresh air. We’ve loved Cuddly Bears and would recommend them to any parent or carer.

We are extremely happy with Cuddly Bear for our son. He has been there full time for just over a year and settled in quickly. From the start, he has been happy at nursery and talks about it with enthusiasm. The staff are caring and professional and we have always found them very supportive. Despite all the Covid restrictions, the nursery is a fun and safe place to be and our son has learnt a great deal during his time there.

We have had an amazing experience with Cuddly Bears, over nearly 4 years and two children, our eldest is about to leave and our youngest has been there for a year. It has been a really supportive and caring environment, the children have made genuine connections with the staff who care deeply about the wellbeing of all the kids. If you are look for a nursery who treat each child as an individual with individual needs, look no further.

Words cannot begin to express the gratitude and appreciation that I feel towards the staff at Cuddly Bear DayCare nursery. My daughter attended for over 2 years and there was not a day where I did not have complete confidence in the kindness and attention the team would have for her. My child has autism and developmental delay, and the team would always devote extra time and support to help with her progression – they were instrumental in giving her the best start we could hope for. Development reviews regularly took place, and a key worker was assigned to give her extra supervision. The staff further put in place various aides to help with improving her communication and growth. There is an app which allows you to login and see, through pictures and staff entries, your child in their various activities throughout the day, which is such a fantastic addition. It also updates with what your child has eaten - the food was always healthy and varied, my daughter ate very well! I could feel the love and protection they felt for her and could see the genuine joy in the staff when they would welcome her in the morning. My daughter was always happy to run into nursery and would hug the team member at the door. We are excited for the future but very sad that her time in this lovely environment has come to an end.
