How they support every child

SEND provision

The support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is good. Staff make timely referrals to ensure that children receive the specialist support they need. Staff work closely with other agencies to ensure children have appropriate support and have a strong network for advice and ideas.

Outdoor space

The indoor and outdoor environments have been adapted to meet the needs of the children attending. Staff are aware that some children live in flats, so they ensure that the children have lots of opportunities to play in the outdoor space. The children skilfully put on wet suits and boots, supporting their physical development as they negotiate the space on bikes, make mud pies, balance on wooden beams, and roll balls to one another.

Curious Minds Montessori Nursery has been a true blessing for our family. The staff is exceptional in every way, providing attentive and personalized care that has made all the difference for my son, who has special needs. The small and nurturing environment at Curious Minds has allowed him to thrive and develop at his own pace. The dedicated and compassionate staff truly understand his unique needs and have created a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where he feels safe and happy. We have seen tremendous growth in his confidence and abilities since he started attending. I highly recommend Curious Minds to any parent looking for a nurturing and understanding setting for their child. ---

Truly a loving and caring environment where our son is thriving. At his previous nursery he used to cry every day at drop off, he absolutely loves going to Curious Minds. You are doing a great job!

Our son has been at the nursery since the spring and absolutely loves it. We wanted somewhere nurturing and loving - the staff here are amazing and it feels like leaving him with family. They also organise a huge range of activities to keep the children occupied and interested in learning - social skills and academically.

Our son has been at Curious Minds since we moved to the area and has absolutely thrived in this small, friendly setting which combines a family feel with a passion for excellence. The educators are a close knit knowledgeable team who set up fun learning experiences that allow for covert skills building. Additionally, specialists (music, speech and language, sports etc) come in to add richness to each day. Karolina in particular is relentlessly enthusiastic and her desire to continually improve the setting and create exceptional experiences for the kids really shines through. This place is a real gem. We feel lucky to have found it and it deserves to become a local favourite.

Our son has been attending the nursery since September and we are so happy we made the decision to move him here. Everyday is a new adventure for him with so many different activities and learning opportunities. There is so much love and care given to the children that we feel it’s a home away from home!
