Dad's The Word is a day nursery in Bridgnorth for children from birth to four years of age. It operates all year round, with sessions running from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. The inspector found that children build secure relationships with their key person and that staff use appropriate explanations to support children's understanding and promote good behaviour. Children learn about nature through first-hand experiences, as the setting has its own aviary, allotment, woodland, and farm area, allowing for daily interactions with animals. There are also opportunities to venture into the community. According to Ofsted, the curriculum for pre-school children helps them to embed their knowledge of patterns, shape, and space. The inspector also noted that the special educational needs coordinator has secure knowledge to support children with additional needs and that staff work effectively with parents.

This nursery operates fifty weeks a year, offering care Monday to Thursday with shorter hours on Fridays. Core hours run from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Government funding is stretched over fifty weeks, with additional hours, optional consumables, and meals charged separately.
