About this day nursery

Darul Madinah in Blackburn offers an educational journey grounded in Islamic principles, providing enriching experiences and joyful adventures to prepare children not just for academic progression but for life itself. The nursery welcomes young children to begin their education, with limited spaces giving priority to timely applications.

For primary school admissions, children progress from nursery through to Year 6, with specific application deadlines for Reception class. The institution emphasises a Shari'ah-compliant approach, integrating conventional academic studies with Islamic teachings to ensure students grow within the boundaries of Islam.

Its value-based education curriculum aims to instil essential life skills like self-discipline, commitment, and integrity. Darul Madinah encourages prospective parents to contact them for further information and to commence the admission process, prioritising each child's education to foster their development within a supportive learning community.

The school also offers various funding options for eligible families, including 15 and 30 hours of free early education for two, three, and four-year-olds.

How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, are supported to make progress.

Outdoor space

Children have opportunities to play in the outdoor area, enjoying painting the walls with brushes and water. However, the quality of interactions in the outdoor area are not always as effective in promoting learning because staff do not fully understand the learning intentions, which means children do not develop some skills and knowledge as readily as the leaders intend.
