Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents speak highly of the caring staff.
They say that staff keep them well informed about their children's progress, for example through daily chats and by sharing information via an online application.
Inclusion & environment
Staff support all children to achieve as much as possible, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Where needed, staff work with parents and other professionals to develop specialised support plans for children and provide highly focused activities to support social and communication skills, helping children with SEND make rapid progress.
Children keep fit and have fun when they play in the nursery gardens. They learn to manage risks while they practise physical skills, such as climbing and balancing. Staff and children also grow fruit and vegetables in the nursery garden, which are then harvested and served at mealtimes.
Our son has been at Destiny Haven for 2.5 years (has been attending since he was 1 year and will go until he goes to school). Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The staffing has been consistent since he joined, with responsive key workers who meet us regularly throughout the year for updates. We have seen his language skills, social skills and physical abilities grow consistently thanks to the input and activities done at Destiny Haven. The team are super engaging with events throughout the year for parents to attend. My son has made his best friends here and loves going in every day. Susana and the leadership were flexible when we needed to increase our days at nursery and/or change these around as we figured out what would work after maternity leave. When there was issues with the power at our nursery, the team were able to accommodate the children at their second site, meaning there was no interruption in the service and we did not need to arrange alternative childcare. We really appreciate everything they do, and I would recommend Destiny Haven to anyone looking for a nursery in the area.
Read on GoogleA beautiful, caring environment where children truly feel safe, supported, and loved. From the outside the building may not look particularly impressive, but once you step inside it is a completely different story – warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up for the children. My son started attending when he was only 9 months old, so we experienced both the baby room and the toddler room. Throughout his time there he developed so many important skills, socially and emotionally as well as through play and learning. He has built wonderful relationships with his peers, the teachers, and even the older children, which has been lovely to see. The nursery maintains high standards in line with Ofsted expectations, and we have always felt confident in the quality of care and education provided. Communication with parents is excellent – staff are always approachable, informative, and genuinely interested in the children’s wellbeing and development. The team is simply lovely: kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. I honestly cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. We loved it from day one
Read on GoogleOur son has been attending Destiny Haven for almost three years and he absolutely loves it! He has made great friends, he learns quite a lot and the staff are so welcoming and kind. They regularly keep in touch with us to provide information on how he is progressing and they also have days where parents can come to the nursery and see what the children do during their day. Would highly recommend this nursery to any parents with young children!
Read on GoogleMy son joined the nursery when was only 4.5 Months old. The nursery is a second home for him and he loves going there everyday. Carers are very well prepared, treat children with love and care. Staff cooperated well with us parents for the development and growth of our child. Our daughter joined recently at 6months old and bonded immediately with carers with a smooth settling. We are deeply sad that we have to leave London and nursery as our kids would have stayed there till reception time. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking for a trustable place and good start in their child’s life. ❤️
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been attending 'Destiny Haven' on a part time basis since she was 14 months. She is now 3 years old and attends the nursery three days a week. Throughout her time here, she has been happy to attend nursery each day and I am pleased with the care that she receives from everyone. All staff/ key workers (past and present) have been polite and professional when communicating with me regarding my daughter. They have dealt with any issues/ concerns that I've had in a speedy manner either having a telephone conversation with me or arranging a meeting. I'm able to contribute to my daughter's learning and development, track her progress and send observations via the 'Famly App'. Overall, I feel at ease when dropping my daughter off each morning. I would recommend this setting to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming environment for their child(ren).
