Doodles Day Nursery in Chorley provides care for children from birth to four years old. It is open all year round, Monday to Friday, from 7.30am until 6pm, and accepts government funding for eligible two, three and four-year-olds. The day nursery was inspected by Ofsted in June 2022 and received an overall rating of Good.

The inspector's report noted that children are happy in a calm setting and build good bonds with the staff. Children have time outdoors every day, where they use climbing equipment and ride bikes. They also grow their own strawberries and learn about healthy foods. The inspector highlighted that support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is a strength of the nursery. The report records that parents are very complimentary about their children's progress.

Pricing & funding

Fees are calculated based on 51 weeks of the year, accounting for a one-week Christmas closure, and are paid monthly. Payments must be set up via standing order and can be made weekly or monthly in advance. Parents are required to provide their own nappies and wipes.
