The setting effectively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), working closely with parents to understand and meet the emotional needs of each child. Staff at Dosthill Nursery And Care Club are known for their exceptional knowledge of children's prior skills, ensuring a curriculum that is planned with purpose and intent.
The curriculum focuses on embedding mathematical knowledge and developing early writing skills. The nursery also places a high emphasis on children's safety, teaching valuable skills like safe knife use and implementing thorough risk assessments in the environment, leading to fewer accidents outdoors.
Effective transition arrangements are in place for children starting at the nursery and moving on to school, with staff sharing curriculum objectives and children's outcomes with host-school staff to ensure continuity of learning.
