How they support every child

SEND provision

The support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is excellent. Leaders ensure that children get the support that they need, and early intervention is sourced to close gaps in learning, helping children to make good progress.

Outdoor space

Staff have redeveloped the outdoor play areas to help support children's large-muscle skills. Babies enjoy pulling themselves up on to low-level equipment, toddlers show excellent balancing skills while kicking footballs, and pre-school children show increasing skill while completing an assault course, learning to jump, hop and balance.

My daughter attends preschool here, and I can honestly say it’s the best nursery. She absolutely loves going every day and has settled in so well. The staff are incredibly helpful, caring, and kind, which gives me great peace of mind. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

My daughter has been at Ducklings Blackley since she 1 and whenever any of my friends are looking for a nursery, I cant recommend them enough! They have been absolutely amazing with my daughter - I couldn’t believe how fast she settled and how lovely the staff are with her. She hops into nursery every morning and has said herself that she loves her ‘school’, as she calls it. The setting is very homely and the staff make so much effort in making sure they know each child individually and really focus on their interests and needs. The staff are honestly fantastic and always keep me updated on my daughter’s day to day adventures and developments. I have watched my daughter grow and develop so much since she started at ducklings and they deserve all the credit for how well she is doing! I also 100% trust the nursery and I think that is also very important ☺️

My daughter attends this nursery and the staff have gone up and beyond to help and support not just my daughter but myself included. The nursery practitioners are really friendly, my daughter loves coming into nursery she has created great friendships and bonds with both the children in her room but also with the nursery practitioners. My daughter has taken in so much from attending from her speak to creative skills, to her knowing her numbers, colours, animals and so much more to feeling so happy and confident. Thank you ducklings for everything you do.

My child attended Ducklings Blackley for 2 years and the The staff went above and beyond while my child was there and I could not thank them enough for all the care, attention and love they showered my child in daily. I got sent updates everyday throughout the day of what my child was doing in nursery, what milestones he was meeting, any updates, worries and highlights of my child’s day which was so reassuring. My Child has Special Needs and did not have a diagnosis which I expressed to Ducklings when my child first started and Stacey went above and beyond to help support get a diagnosis for my child which I can not thank her enough for. While my child was there they was brilliant on catering to his needs whether he was having a difficult day they would support my child’s emotional needs as well as to dinner times with his fussy eating they would ensure he had food and snacks what he would eat and also put any assessments in place to support my child throughout his EYFS journey. The staff are really worth their weight in gold as well are such an amazing example to what a nursery setting should be like and are everything what you want a nursery to be for your child. I was so sad when my child left to start his journey into a primary school setting as you really do become part of The Ducklings Family. I would highly recommend Ducklings Blackley to any parent/Guardian who is looking for a nursery setting!
