Eagley School House Nurseries offer a comprehensive approach to early childhood education and care across two locations in Bolton. Catering to children from 6 weeks old through to pre-school, the nursery groups children into 'Hatchlings' (babies from 6 weeks), 'Eaglets' (around 2 years of age), and 'Eagles' (preppies), with a dedicated 'Reggio' pre-school programme.
Their curriculum is deeply rooted in what they call “The Eagley Way,” which emphasises embedding a specific ethos into each child's journey, focusing on strong relationships with families as partners in the child's development. They aim to provide a homely and relaxed environment, encouraging children to feel comfortable and secure, much like an extension of their own home.
Aspects of their approach include visual development, stimulating environments, messy play, role-playing, quiet areas, structured development, and mindfulness. The Reggio programme incorporates Forest School, Eco Phonics, project-led learning, problem-solving, art, mindfulness, and yoga.
Our ethos
The most important aspect of “The Eagley Way” is about us embedding our ethos into each and every child’s journey. We work hard on making families and children feel relaxed and welcome, from the start, to build positive relationships where everyone is seen as important in the child’s journey through their most formative years. We hope that you will find both nurseries as an extension of your home; a place where your child should be relaxed, as if they are at home.

Inclusion & environment
The nursery has a dedicated team of special educational needs coordinators (SENCos). They work closely with parents and/or carers and other professionals. Staff receive specialist training, where required, to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). This ensures that all children are fully included and have their needs met.
Children benefit from participating in a range of experiences that enrich their lives. For example, they engage in forest school, where they learn to safely use tools, such as hammers and nails.
