Inclusion & environment
Managers and staff work closely with parents and other professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They use strategies, such as visual aids and signing, to support children's communication and share ideas to support children's learning at home.
Children confidently explore the bright spaces and enjoy spending lots of time outside in the well-resourced gardens. Staff encourage children to develop their physical skills as children climb up hills and through tunnels and enjoy making food in the outdoor mud kitchens.
When I think back to our experience from 6-7 months ago and compare it with how things are like now, I am so impressed by how the local nursery team pulled through a tumultuous period with their staffing crisis. Our child has gone from emotional and unsettled to very happy and settled in the baby room. She sees familiar faces consistently and has a great time. Her development has made leaps and bounds since coming to this nursery. The facilities are clean, well kept, has plenty of sensory activities and a great outdoor space. The menu looks healthy and varied - I think my child eats better at nursery than at home! Staff are friendly, hard working and you can tell they have become a tight community after pulling through a challenging period together. I am happy for my child to continue coming here, the staff are definitely a pull factor for us.
Read on GoogleMy 2 year old has been here since the nursery opened last year - the staffing / recruitment issues mentioned in other reviews were a tricky time - but the new manager is fantastic and has hugely turned things around. We decided to stick with the nursery during the recruitment issues due to the incredible room leader and other staff in the toddler room - my son is very happy here and enjoys a hugely varied range of activities both indoor and out. The nursery now has a truly family feel with minimal staff turnover.
Read on GoogleThe staff are so friendly, the activities for each day are well thought of, educational and fun. The variety of meals is good. The premises is new, secure and big! The pre school has a lovely forest garden at the back with a mud kitchen. We are very happy at Fennies Raynes park
Read on GoogleReviews from six months ago do not reflect what is happening at the nursery now. The manager Tatiana has worked so hard to turn the nursery into a happy and welcoming place. The staff are consistent, positive and a joy to meet at the beginning and end of the day. My daughter loves it
Read on GoogleMy son absolutely loves Fennies Raynes Park and he is always happy to go there! The staff is caring and loving, and they do their best to take care of and support the little ones. It’s not easy for any child to be away from their home and parents, but Fennies manages to fill up their days with fun and educational activities to make this easier for them. As a parent, it is amazing to witness how my child has grown and learned since he joined the nursery. It has been such a wonderful adventure! I feel only gratitude to everyone, the managing team, Tatiana and Jonna, all the staff, Ragini, Emma, and everyone who’s always making sure the children are safe, happy, and loved.
