Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
"Parents are enjoying the new stay-and-play sessions provided by the staff. They comment on how the sessions have helped them to understand their child's day at the nursery and in building closer relationships with the staff team."
Inclusion & environment
All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), enjoy a wide range of well-planned learning activities that ignite their curiosity and imagination. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.
When outside, staff encourage children to be physically active through team games and using fixed apparatus, such as swings and slides. Children independently choose where they take their learning as they move freely between different learning environments, both indoors and outdoors. When outside, babies and toddlers make marks on the floor with large chalks and water spray bottles.
Absolutely amazing nursery! My little boy attends and has been since roughly 17 months old. He started in the baby room and his confidence grew since attending, now currently in toddler room and the staff can’t help enough. He’s come out of his shell massively since joining this nursery. The girls are amazing with him and have really helped with his development. He loves going into nursery which is lovely to see knowing he has so much fun there! The staff are not only caring but they’re great at what they do and have the children’s best interests their top priority. Would highly recommend this nursery to little ones, I’m so glad my child attends here.
Read on GoogleAbsolutely fantastic nursery! My daughter has a disability and they have been so accommodating and welcoming since she started. My son joined shortly thereafter and he has been equally well cared for and has learned so much. All the staff are highly trained, kind, caring and attentive with both the children and parents needs. The ladies treat the children like their own and the owners are hands on with the day to day running of the nursery. I cannot recommend First Chapter enough.
Read on GoogleAbsolutely fantastic nursery - my son attended from age 1 right through to almost 5 and was cared for exceptionally well in all rooms (Baby, Toddler and Preschool). The staff are all phenomenal and so caring, the children are well fed with a lovely variety of foods each week and the activities that the children get up to each day are so well thought out and engaging. My son breezed into Primary School following a wonderful nearly 4 years here. Our daughter now attends the nursery and the level of care, support and attention is still amazing, we couldn't be happier!
Read on GoogleThe staff at this nursery have been incredibly supportive to not only my son but also myself! My son is being assessed for autism and they have helped in so many ways. Getting the right connections in place, helping put an early education plan in place to support my son in the next few years of his life. The staff are so welcoming and so lovely have the time of day for everyone. My son has a lot of sensory needs and even the owner has supported me and my son by providing nursery meals to try and make my son feel more included. These ladies have really been my rock through a very unsteady time when dealing with my son. They are all so respectful, supportive, they love and treat each child as if they are their own! I’ve had many meeting with the ladies for my son’s needs, they have met every single one and exceeded!! They have a very well established business and again amazing ladies all round! I wouldn’t have my son anywhere else! My son did go to another nursery before here and it broke my heart to see how my son was made to feel as he sobbed every time he came out. Whilst here at chapter he loves every single day here. His speech is coming along so lovely, this week for example it’s colour themed and he came home yesterday saying red and yellow! My son is very delayed with speech so these little things make a whole difference especially to one little boy who feels so much love in nursery and out of nursery! I couldn’t ask for better ladies to care and support my son and they are friends and family for life in my eyes! Love you ladies so much and thank you for everything you do for us all ❤️
Read on GoogleThe most amazing nursery. They have nurtured my son and helped so much with his development. Each key worker he has had in the 3 rooms (baby, toddler and preschool) has been so caring and so good and information sharing The nursery owner is a fantastic communicator, as is the manager, deputy manager and acting maternity leave manager.
