Headstart Nurseries aims to create a loving, caring, safe, and secure environment for children, recognising their importance in parents' lives. The nursery group is dedicated to providing high-quality care that encourages engagement and stimulation through creative, fun-filled activities.

Children are encouraged to participate in both indoor and outdoor activities, with a strong emphasis on exploring the outdoor areas in all weather to enrich their learning and experiences. The nurseries strive to offer the best possible start in life, whether families are returning to work, relocating, or simply seeking excellent early childhood development opportunities.

Our ethos

At our nurseries we want to make you, and most importantly your child feel loved and cared for, safe and secure. We understand that your child is the most important person in your life and we consider it a privilege to look after them. Our overall aim is to provide the best possible care whilst engaging and stimulating your child with fun filled and creative activities. Each of our nurseries and out-of-school clubs encourage children to take part in all activities, both indoors and outdoors. We have fantastic outdoor areas which the children are encouraged to explore in all weathers and seasons, thus enriching their experience and learning further.

  • Staff offer children a nutritious range of snacks, helping to promote a healthy diet and showing children that their opinions matter.
  • The manager supports her staff through supervision meetings, enabling them to reflect on practice and identify professional development opportunities.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well. Staff work closely with other professionals to meet their individual needs. The manager spends additional funding that some children receive to enable them to follow their interests and support their learning.

Outdoor space

Children learn that they must not eat berries they pick outdoors and tell staff, "My stomach might hurt."

An amazing Nursery and Pre School. The staff are friendly and supportive. An excellent range of activities is offered. Every day is an adventure for the children.
