First Steps Nursery School (Dore) Ltd provides a high standard of care and education in a fun, secure environment. The nursery offers extensive enclosed gardens for outdoor play, vital for child development, even involving children in gardening activities. With a focus on a homely, caring atmosphere, First Steps Nursery promotes 'Learn Through Play' and prides itself on retaining experienced and dedicated staff from the local area.
They provide high-quality, child-centred, holistic care in a stimulating and challenging environment, utilising the Special Carer system to give children a sense of familiarity and belonging. Inclusion & environment
Children's learning and next steps are tailored to individual needs and capabilities, including individual education plans. Inclusive practice is excellent and the provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is exceptional. Children with SEND excel in their development. Staff work in partnership with other professionals and help children focus their learning.
The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
