Inclusion & environment
Managers and staff are committed to helping all children to make the best progress possible. Staff prioritise supporting children's communication, language, social skills and independence development. They adjust their support to help children with their language development, using tools such as visual aids and signs.
Children play outdoors and practise their physical skills. For example, they learn to pedal bicycles and climb. Children persist as they use a custom-designed climbing frame that suits their different developmental stages.
We are so happy our children go to Footsteps (and one graduated now up to school)!. For us it feels like a part of our family in London, when the rest live so far away. Over the years we have appreciated the fantastic care every day, we can see they are so happy, and also some additional things e.g. - everyone helping our son along with his speech after his hearing problems and operation - meetings and updates on their progress (including lots of daily photos and descriptions of their day) - Lovely varied and nutritious menu cooked by chef Diana - many fantastic events for kids and all the family all year round - lovely graduation celebration and supporting well with the transition to school. We'd highly recommend Footsteps to anyone looking for a nursery - it's brilliant and it really puts us at ease to see our children excited to go every morning! Thanks so much! Jen and Beth
Read on GoogleOur daughter Sophia spent 3 wonderful years at Footsteps under the care of Hannah and the team. She has been incredibly happy at the nursery, it was like her home from home. There has not been a day where Sophia wasn’t happy to go to Nursery with a big smile, which is the best feedback we could give. The Footsteps team has always been very caring, friendly, and full of attention to help the little one to develop into a confident toddler. We couldn’t say anything else but recommend Footsteps Walthamstow. Sarah & Thomas
Read on GoogleWe have been parents at Footsteps Walthamstow since 2020 - our eldest is now at school having had 4 incredibly happy years at Footsteps and our youngest is now in the Pre School room there. We couldn't recommend the nursery more highly. The nursery is really well managed by Hannah and the staff, without exception, are friendly, caring and provide such an amazing range of activities for the kids. There is a brilliant sense of community and on special occasions (Mother's Day, Father's Day etc) they lay on little parties and the parents are invited in which means you get to know the other families which is lovely. They prepare the children really well for school - I put a huge part of our son's smooth transition into reception down to Footsteps.
Read on GoogleOur daughter went to Footsteps Walthamstow for over a year and was in the babies and toddler rooms. We absolutely loved it here and so did our daughter as well. They do a large number of theme days for the kids and activities based around them which is fun for the kids and cute to see. They really helped us to feel at ease with our first child going into nursery and we were sad when we had to take her out. Would recommend to anyone.
Read on GoogleThe staff at Footsteps are amazing! They really care about the children and make a huge effort to implement a range of fun, educational activities to keep the children engaged and excited to be there. There is a lot of outdoor space and indoor play areas meaning busy children who need to stretch their legs have plenty of areas to run around in. Overall it has been such a brilliant experience sending our two children here and I would recommend Footsteps Walthamstow without hesitation!
