Future Einsteins in Wakefield, established in 2009, offers outstanding childcare for children aged 0-5 years. The nursery operates all year round, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm, providing a consistent and nurturing environment.
Leaders have implemented a fundamental change in their approach to inclusion, embedding an inclusive mindset into the core of their organisational culture. Staff actively deliver an "early intervention graduated approach," identifying children before targeted support is needed.
This proactive approach significantly reduces attainment gaps and ensures individualised support for all children. The staff demonstrate excellent skills and knowledge in supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, utilising extensive "plan-do-review cycles" and collaborating with external agencies such as paediatricians and speech and language therapists.
The outdoor learning environment is thoughtfully integrated into the curriculum; babies splash in puddles to develop physical coordination, while older children explore the rain and learn about its role in nature. The nursery prides itself on making a demonstrable difference to the opportunities of children who speak English as an additional language, fostering a truly inclusive setting where every child can thrive and make significant progress from their starting points across all areas of the EYFS curriculum, supported by staff acting as effective role models in positive language and good manners.
