About this day nursery

Giggles Day Nursery, a private institution, has been dedicated to providing quality childcare since its establishment in Hounslow in July 2008, following the opening of its first branch in 2006. Registered to accommodate 44 children aged between 3 months and 5 years, the nursery is co-owned by Mrs. Lorraine Norris and Ms. Dawn S.

Heather, who collectively bring 35 years of experience in nursery management. Lorraine Norris also serves as the managing director, working alongside the management team to create a stimulating and secure environment for all children.

The nursery operates from two spacious and well-lit rooms, thoughtfully divided into designated learning areas, and boasts a large outdoor space featuring a playhouse and gardening section, designed to offer challenging and engaging activities. Giggles Day Nursery is committed to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, providing a diverse range of activities to meet developmental needs.

It is also a member of the Hounslow Early Years Development team and childcare partnership, and is registered to offer nursery education grants for three and four-year-olds. The nursery’s educational quality is regularly assessed by Ofsted.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged based on booked sessions, with additional hours billed at an hourly rate. Extra sessions must be paid for in advance or on the day of attendance.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are quickly identified. As soon as children settle in, staff use observations and developmental tools to assess children's starting points and to plan next steps in their learning.

Outdoor space

Staff notify each other if they are taking children out of the room, for example, to the outside space to play.

EAL / language support

Children who speak English as an additional language have staff who share home languages, or thread key words provided by parents into simple speech to develop their communication.

Our son joined the nursery couple years ago and we couldn’t ask for a better nursery experience! The staff are absolutely amazing – warm, professional, and genuinely caring. They create such a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe and happy. The learning environment is fantastic our child has grown so much in confidence, skills, and independence since joining. Special thank you to the nursery manager- Lorraine for always being there to help with a biggest smile on her face! She is amazing and will always go out of her ways to help! Thank you guys! X

Absolutely amazing nursery with wonderful caring staff. The staff are hardworking and friendly, my child always looks forward to going to nursery! Absolutely supportive and helpful during the hard time my son and I went through. Thank you to all the staff at the Nursery who consistently ensure my son has access to well planned activities to provide his with a range of learning opportunities.

Best nursery in the area, where our child is safe. Where everything is taken care of by exceptional staff who are always concerned about the well being of the childrens. Atmosphere is too good where my child always eager to go for nursery and learning new things. Big thanks to Lorraine, Alex, bhavna and all the nursery staff for taking good care 🙏🙏

It’s such a lovely feeling to see my daughter everyday going smiling happily and all excited as soon as the door gets opened and also coming out with the same happy face at the time of pick up.
