About this day nursery

The most recent Ofsted inspection on 6th February 2025 rated the pre-school as 'Good'. Leaders and staff foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment where children can flourish.

They carefully gather information from parents regarding children's starting points to effectively plan for their learning, taking into account individual abilities and interests. The curriculum is ambitious for all children, and staff conduct regular assessments to swiftly identify any emerging gaps, implementing targeted interventions and working collaboratively with parents and other professionals to provide timely support.

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who learn English as an additional language, develop essential skills for their future. Leaders effectively use additional funding to provide extra staff and resources for children with SEND, ensuring they receive appropriate support, including in functional communication.

Children are encouraged to access outdoor learning opportunities, building on their balance and coordination for physical development. For instance, staff support children's interest in bridges by encouraging them to create a river under one outdoors, fostering imaginative play.

Parents highly commend the caring staff, the learning opportunities, and the support their children receive, valuing regular updates and recognising the skills their children have developed since starting at Midsummer Park Pre-School.
