How they support every child

SEND provision

Children, including those who need additional support and those in receipt of funding, receive experiences tailored to their individual needs. Staff understand the importance of working closely with external professionals when required. Additional funding is used thoughtfully and tailored to each child's specific needs. For example, staff provide extra creative resources to encourage children to interact, share and communicate with their peers. Robust, ongoing assessments involving all parties allow staff to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and adapt their approach when necessary. They understand that timely referrals ensure that support is in place to aid children's transition to school and sustain their ongoing learning.

Outdoor space

Children are carefully monitored while sleeping outdoors in the fresh air. They benefit from daily outdoor experiences in all weathers, including interesting walks at the farm, which further support their health and wellbeing. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself at this setting, she was able to do so many things you don’t experience at a normal nursery. Watching the lambs being born was a key highlight along with the cows and other animals. She’s a bit older now but recalls the time with Emily and Charity with fond memories. She also wrote her name in chalk at 2.5years old, all with thanks to Goulton Grange 🥰

If you’re looking for the best nursery in the area, you’ve found it! What an amazing nursery Goulton Grange is. It’s like home from home for our Oliver! All the staff are incredibly warm and caring, it’s unbelievable how quickly Oliver settled at Goulton and that’s all down to wonderful team who work here. The setting couldn’t be any more beautiful with a track through the fields with cows on one side and tractors on the other makes for a great start to Oliver’s day. We have such lovely chats about what’s happening on the farm on the way there and back. It’s great how much time outside the children spend it’s definitely reduced the number of ‘nursery’ colds we have. The use of the family app, to send photos and messages, during the day is a real bonus. It’s great to see what Oliver’s up to when I’m at work. It’s also a great way to get messages to the staff that are with Oliver that day. Thanks everybody, we are so pleased we made the move to Goulton!

We sent our daughter here for a year when we lived in the area and would highly recommend it! The kids go for a walk along the lane every day, see the cows and have a great time playing outside. Everyone who works here is really welcoming and caring. Our daughter had a great year and looked forward to going to nursery every day - she still asks if she can go back to Goulton Grange!

My son started Goulton Grange when he was 9 months old and left when he was 3, but if we had the option of keeping him here before school we would have! He absolutely loved it and still talks fondly about the staff and the friends he made there. One of the best features of Goulton (aside from the amazing staff!) Is how it's on a farm, so the kids get to interact with animals! They go for walks up the path to see the cows as well as the occasional baby cow, and often helping get Barbara the goat back into her field as she's quite an escape artist! If there's anyone in the area looking at childcare options I fully recommend Goulton!
