If you’re looking for a creative, caring, play-focused nursery in Hackney, Grasshoppers is a wonderful choice. My son loved his time there, and we loved feeling part of the community, something we still feel even now he’s 8. The creative, experienced team take real pride in the fantastic opportunities they create for children to explore through play, art and nature. The staff, routines, food and ambitious activities gave our son a joyful and exciting start to life, helping him build confidence, social skills and a love of learning. My son says: “I loved going on trips, it's near two parks plus they have a great playground outside. It’s also really nice to go back and see everyone.”

My child went to GH nursery when he was 2 until he was 4 and we had to move abroad. It is a unique and amazing place in so many ways. It was a home and a family for all of us. Not only kids are welcomed there but also as a parent you can get involved and feel part of a community. The staff is gentle and friendly but also professional and very talented. They have been working there for a long time and enjoy what they’re doing. They really love the kids and do lots of great activities. Kids spend a lot of time outside in the yard and they take them to the park almost every day too. They focus on the emotional needs of kids and they work closely with parents dor the development of the kids. I could talk for hours about the Grasshoppers❤️ We never found a place like that and we’ll always miss it and be grateful for what it offered

We moved our child to Grasshoppers after a bad experience at another nursery. She has really flourished there because of the amazing staff and all the wonderful activities they do. Highly recommend! Also it’s very good value! This is a partly parent run nursery but that doesn’t mean you necessarily have to be much involved (we both work full time and have little free time) but it brings an ethos of collaboration and mutual trust which is a rare and special thing.

Grasshoppers In The Park Nursery is truly wonderful - a uniquely beautiful environment for children. My son was at another nursery initially, and he dreaded it every day. He was so miserable. But this totally changed when we moved him to Grasshoppers. He bounds into Grasshoppers every day excited to be there and see what brilliant new things he will be doing. My son looks forward to Wednesdays when they have a wonderful dance teacher come in to work with them all. On Tuesdays Claire comes to teach them new artistic techniques, inspired by different professional artists each week. On Thursdays it is Forest School and Fridays the Music Man comes to play. Apart from that, each day they go for walks to explore the local parks, wandering far and wide. The staff are all really lovely people who genuinely care about each of the children. They are all extremely creative coming up with a vast array of activities each day, from cooking, to gardening, crafts, fashion shows, puppet shows, football... the list goes on and on. My son comes home talking about all the things he has learned, such as about what the earth is made from: core, crust... It's all extremely impressive. The nursery also hosts gatherings for families to join the fun too, for bonfire night, Christmas etc. Parents get weekly updates of photos and videos from the week, so you know exactly what they have been up to, and it always makes me wish I was there too. The food is all organic, cooked on site and delicious - I know this because when you pop in, the staff are so proud they encourage parents to try it. I can't speak more highly about this nursery. It is the best!

Both my kids went to Grasshoppers a truly unique and wonderful community nursery. Grasshoppers put a real focus on supporting our kids to develop their independence, emotional and social skills through play, art and nature. The children are taken out to the marshes every day, they have forest school sessions, art and music sessions and scheduled field trips to the theatre and local farms. The teachers are incredibly caring and dedicated. It's a really special place, truly one of a kind!
