Riverside Nursery, located in London E5 9SP, is a well-established childcare setting that has been registered since 2004. Operating Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm for 51 weeks a year, the nursery provides full-day care for children aged 1 to 4 years.
The setting prides itself on fostering a warm and secure environment where children are happy and confident. Leaders effectively use early years pupil premium and inclusion funding to enhance children's learning and development, including planning coach trips and employing additional staff for individual care.
The dedicated team of 10 staff members, nine of whom hold relevant childcare qualifications from level 2 to level 6, ensures children are well-supported in their learning journey and are ready for school. The Ofsted report highlights the children's secure and respectful relationships with staff and peers, their independence in exploring a well-organised indoor and outdoor environment, and their engagement in activities such as learning about animals, exploring insects, and developing motor skills through everyday activities like making sandwiches.
The nursery places a strong emphasis on good partnerships with parents, ensuring they are well-informed about their child's progress through an online system.

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) have plenty of time to make connections and repeat activities. Staff work effectively to support children with SEND, liaise with other specialists, and put plans and strategies in place, resulting in children making the best possible progress.
Children explore a well-organised outdoor environment and skilfully move freely outside using different resources to support their physical development. Staff support children to take safe risks outside, and children enjoy physical play, moving freely and investigating trees, touching and observing them.
Our second baby now goes here as well and is super happy, lots of lovely activities, socialising with other children, eats and sleeps well there, you really feel the staff is an extension of the family circle and create a comfortable and affectionate atmosphere for our little ones.
Read on GoogleI'm so glad we found Riverside Nursery! My son has autism, and after trying various nurseries in the area, I can really say that Riverside provides the best care. They have been very supportive, always ready to resolve any doubts and work together for the best development outcome. The manager very knowledgeable and trustworthy, she greets parents with a smile that really make feel welcome. The care is tailored to each child's individual needs. All of the kids do attention bucket each morning, which promotes the best learning experience. The teachers make sure all the children enjoy the day with nice activities. There is an authentic sense of inclusion and diversity. I couldn't recommend them more highly
Read on GoogleCosy, homey nursery. Now, it is a little outdated but once you see and feel the family feel of this place and how happy the children here are you don’t even care. My son loves it at riverside since the very first day. The staff are so lovely and interactive with the children & parents. The food is home cooked and delicious. They provide plenty snacks and healthy meals. Thank you Riverside nursery.
