my son attended this nursery from the age of 9 months to 4 years old....... Great expectations has been such an important part in not only his life but mine too and i can honeslty say i made the best choice with this nursery. The staff and management team knew my son inside out and the opportunities they had on offer covered all aspects whether it was within the nursery setting or going out into the local area inc the nursing home plus an added bonus of going on the bus! there was always a story to tell about his day! would highly recommend Great expectations

A fantastic nursery. We changed nurseries after covid and had a great experience with GEDN. The staff really go above and beyond. The creativity and messy play ideas they have is very impressive. We got loads of feedback and pictures and all the meals look healthy and delicious. Can’t recommend it enough.

Our son really enjoys going to GE. The staff are all friendly, caring and are always very welcoming each morning. We valued the settling in period and home visit which helped our son get to know the staff better. The nursery have organised lots of events for parents like stay and play for Mother's day and Father's day, family picnic in the park and also a summer fair. The children in the pre school get the opportunity for forest school and visits to a local care home to have fun and gain experiences from playing along side the older generation. The children are encouraged to explore a wide range of messy play activities, using all their senses. The meals that are provided by the onsite chef always sound delicious and offer a well balanced diet, extra care is given to meet dietary requirements, which we really appreciate. It's lovely to see our son so happy when we pick him up.

I have been completely disappointed with Great Expectations Nursery. We have received poor communication with the nursery regarding EYFS documentation and simple things like events. As a teacher, they have demobstrated they do not meet EYFS requirements in forming partnerships with parents in the important stage in a child's learning. Safe guarding policy has often not been consistently followed, and communication with management has been negative and often condescending. My child has also repeated at home unprofessional talk heard at the nursery.

Great nursery and I highly recommend. My daughter has been going for the past 3 years and has loved it. Now ready for the next step and starting school which she is so excited for. I have enjoyed reading what she has been up to in her learning journals and encouraging her in her development along the way. Thank you so much for everything you have done.
