Inclusion & environment
Leaders and staff support children's progress and help them to develop a good range of skills for future learning, including for those with special educational needs/and or disabilities (SEND). This provides all children with the support they need to succeed.
Interactions outdoors are more focused on supervising children, rather than extending their learning, which results in children's learning not being as well supported. However, there are many opportunities outdoors for children to develop their large physical skills.
Lovely nursery! My son settled quickly, the nursery itself looks amazing! Lots of space, beautiful garden, quality toys and of course amazing staff. They are always there if I have any questions or doubts!
Read on GoogleI would not recommend this nursery, the communication was poor and they hardly answered the phone. I removed my son from this setting in February this year as they was unable to meet my sons needs, his transition into Preschool wasn't positive and they lacked his transition sessions they wasn't organised which had an effect on his behaviour (which had never been a issue previously), they called me on several occasions whilst I was at work to collect him due to his behaviour, Sophie was dishonest about him having diarrhea which kept him off for 48 hrs, myself and other professionals that had got involved felt that they no longer wanted my son there, they reduced his time table giving me less than 2 weeks notice to organise alternative child care and advised me that he may longer have a space at the nursery if his behaviour continued, he wasn't displaying this behaviour at home just in this setting, they was not consistent with his support plan that they put into place, he is now with a child minder and he is thriving with no behavioural issues! Sophie again wasn't honest regarding my sons behaviour to his new child minder when they spoke regarding the setting transition which again made me feel that they wanted him gone, I am glad that my son is now at a setting that want him there and that he is happy and settled with no issues whatsoever!
Read on GoogleWe have lived the identical experience of the latest one star review and would suggest to anyone booking their children into this nursery to look elsewhere. Upon original viewing, we loved this nursery and couldn’t wait for our child to join. This was 2 months before he was born and we booked him in for a July 24 start - 13 months in advance. A month before his due start date we were told it wasn’t possible. Only explanation was ‘staffing issues’. We heard nothing after this until a random email invoice arrived with a random date asking us to pay for a random amount. We rang and were told it was a mistake and they had no place for our child for another 3 months. No email to tell us this, just a broken email to prompt us to ask what was going on. I cannot write just how out of the loop we were as a family. This whole situation caused us to find a new nursery for our son on two weeks notice because little pioneers completely ignored us and did absolutely nothing to warn us of their incompetence. I am so angry about the actions of this nursery and their complete lack of communication with families who have booked children in A YEAR in advance. I understand staffing issues, but their lack of any communication is embarrassing. If you are looking to send your daughter or son here, don’t. It may look great but being left short 2 weeks before your child is due to start nursery with ZERO communication is an absolute joke. To anyone reading this pregnant, or looking for a nursery, do NOT go here. It’s not worth your time, effort and stress regardless of the glossy show they put on.
Read on GoogleThank you Little Pioneers Emersons green Bristol for all the great work you did and continue to do for my little one. I have been to other nurseries and I can say for sure that Little pioneer nursery Emerson green Bristol is the best. Thank you for listening and going beyond and above to make sure my little one is not just comfortable at nursery but also in his learning.
Read on GoogleAs local nursery’s in our area are oversubscribed and have extensive waiting lists we visited Little Pioneer’s whilst I was pregnant and was impressed with the facilities there so paid my deposit to hold our space. With a month to go before my son’s impending start date I emailed the nursery in the hope to organise his settling in sessions although I was hoping they would have reached out first. After being ignored by email multiple times and them not answering their phones I raised a complaint. I then get an email informing me they no longer have space to accommodate my son, this is less than two and a half weeks before I return to work. I now have no childcare arrangements and am in a very stressful and difficult position. Absolutely terrible customer service, complete lack of communication and to top things off they sent me an invoice today for the first month! Will avoid at all costs and advising everyone in the area the same thing.
